Organizational Agility · Coaching Adaptive Systems in Complex Environments
Most agile coaches know the stances — coaching, mentoring, teaching — but default to whichever one is comfortable, not whichever the moment needs. This advanced session is built around the "Stance Dance": moving fluidly between stances with intent, so you're consciously choosing the right intervention instead of reacting on autopilot.

Book your session
This course is private training only — there's no public cohort to join. Pick a time that works for your team and we'll take it from there.
Either way works. Email a bit about your team and we'll follow up with dates and pricing, or skip straight to a 30-minute call with Scott to talk through your team, timing, and format.
The credential
Organizational Agility is an official Scrum Alliance microcredential in the Leadership and Coaching track. Attend the live session, work through the practice scenarios, and it's yours — no exam required.

Scrum Alliance
A digital badge you can add to LinkedIn the day you finish, backed by a globally recognized credentialing body. It's also a strong step toward the Certified Agile Coach (CAC) exam — this course covers core Capability Building competencies from the Scrum Alliance job task analysis.
What you'll learn
Continuous role-play and peer practice, not lecture — you'll be in the scenarios, not just hearing about them.
Module 01
Move fluidly between coaching, mentoring, and teaching stances within a single conversation — without breaking rapport or confusing the person in front of you.
Module 02
Set explicit or implicit agreements before shifting into a directive stance, so an intervention is welcomed rather than imposed, and the client keeps their agency.
Module 03
Analyze a peer's coaching and facilitation performance, then deliver specific, non-judgmental feedback that keeps psychological safety intact.
Module 04
Tell the difference between struggle that's a learning opportunity and struggle that's a real risk — and build a plan for when a directive intervention is actually justified.
Module 05
Leave with a personal, measurable development plan that prioritizes your highest-impact growth areas — not a generic list of things to work on someday.
The throughline
Every module builds toward the same skill: consciously choosing your stance instead of defaulting to it. By the end of the day you'll be able to name which stance a moment calls for — and actually shift into it — instead of reacting the way you always do.
Who it's for
If you're past the fundamentals and want more precision in how you show up for the people you coach, this is built for you.
Ready to deepen their coaching impact and work with more complexity than a single-team boundary allows.
Wanting to strengthen team dynamics and adaptability rather than just managing the backlog.
Working in complex environments and trying to build teams that solve their own problems instead of escalating them.
Building the Capability Building competencies that feed directly into the Certified Agile Coach exam.
Responsible for growing other coaches, and wanting a repeatable model for feedback and development planning.
Ready to trade autopilot reactions for interventions they actually chose on purpose.
Straight answer on prerequisites: none are formally required. That said, this is an advanced-level course — real experience coaching teams, or a previous Scrum Alliance agile coaching course, will help you get more out of the day.

Founder, Rocket Nine Solutions · Certified Scrum Trainer
Scott has spent two decades watching coaches default to the same stance regardless of what the moment actually needs — usually because no one ever asked them to notice they were doing it. This course is built from that observation: less theory, more live practice, until choosing your stance on purpose starts to feel as natural as reacting used to. Bring your toughest coaching scenario; he'll work it with you in the room.
