He's tailored implementation roadmaps for hundreds of organizations, from helping NASA deliver payloads to space to helping Kaiser Permanente deliver healthcare on Earth, and is one of a small number of dual Certified Scrum Trainers and Certified Enterprise Coaches worldwide. He teaches CAL 1 the way he'd want it taught to him: plain-spoken, grounded in real scenarios, and built around the conversations leaders actually have to have.
Questions
Yes. This is a live Zoom workshop, not pre-recorded video. Expect time to work through scenarios in your workbook, small-group breakout sessions, leadership role-playing exercises, and interactive discussion with the other leaders in your cohort.
There are no formal prerequisites. Some awareness of agile is helpful — if you're unfamiliar with agile product management, reviewing the Agile Manifesto beforehand is a good primer — but the course is built for leaders from any background.
The Leading Agile Transformations Workbook, an agile implementation roadmap and playbook, best-practice case studies, and a post-class action plan you build during the workshop itself.
CAL 1 is 16 hours of live instruction across two days, which earns 16 Scrum Education Units and 16 PMI Professional Development Units toward your existing certification renewals. For PMI, CAL content applies to the Leadership ("Power Skills") and Strategic and Business Management ("Business Acumen") categories.
No exam. Attend both live days and participate, and you'll receive your Certified Agile Leader 1 certification and digital badge from Scrum Alliance.
