Coaching for Transformation
Ready to coach change that actually sticks? This live course gives you the systems thinking, culture-shifting, and coaching tools to sustain agile transformation long after the initiative ends.
Coaching for Transformation · Sustaining Change
Every organization can launch a transformation. Far fewer can keep one alive past the kickoff, the reorg, or the departure of the person who championed it. This course is about the unglamorous half — the structures, behaviors, and cultural signals that decide whether change becomes how you work or just something you tried.

The credential
Coaching for Transformation is an official Scrum Alliance microcredential in the Leadership and Coaching track. Attend the live session, participate, and it's yours — no exam, no follow-up assignment.

Scrum Alliance
A digital badge you can add to LinkedIn the day you finish, backed by a globally recognized credentialing body. Microcredentials are stackable — this one pairs naturally with Coaching for Change, and together they build a full coaching pathway at your own pace.
What you'll learn
Six areas that decide whether a change survives contact with the organization — plus a real case study to work through together.
Module 01
The models and mechanics behind organizational change, and why the ones that look tidiest on a slide tend to struggle in practice.
Module 02
Read the org's actual operating system — reporting lines, budgets, incentives, approval gates — and find the ones quietly pulling against the change.
Module 03
Culture doesn't move because you announce it. Work with the norms, rituals, and stories that tell people what's actually rewarded here.
Module 04
The behaviors leaders have to visibly change for anyone else to believe the transformation is real — and how to coach toward them.
Module 05
What to put in place so progress survives the reorg, the budget cycle, and the departure of the person who started it.
Module 06
Evidence that the transformation is holding, beyond adoption dashboards and completed training counts.
Case study
The session closes on a real-world case: what was attempted, where it stalled, and what would have had to be true for it to stick. Bring your own situation and we'll run it through the same lens.
Who it's for
If you've been asked to make a transformation work — or to explain why the last one didn't — this is for you.
Working above team level, where the blockers are structural and the sponsors change faster than the transformation does.
Owning a change program and looking for a model that accounts for the organization pushing back.
Caught between a mandate from above and a team that's seen initiatives come and go before.
Responsible for the culture half of the transformation, with a practical model for how norms actually shift.
Ready to look past the team boundary at the systems and structures shaping what your team can actually do.
Funding a transformation and wanting a clear-eyed view of what sustaining it will actually require of you.
Straight answer on prerequisites: there are none. This course is designed for people from any role or background who want to help organizations change and make it last. Familiarity with agile helps you place the examples, but the material applies to any kind of organizational change.

Founder, Rocket Nine Solutions · Certified Scrum Trainer
Scott has spent two decades inside agile transformations — the ones that took hold and the ones that quietly reverted the moment attention moved elsewhere. He teaches this course from that second category as much as the first, because the difference is rarely the framework and almost always the structures and behaviors nobody wanted to change. Bring the transformation you're working on; he'll tell you plainly where it's likely to come apart.
Questions
Coaching for Change is about the skills to coach a system — entering it, revealing it to itself, working with roles and conflict. This course is about what happens after: the structures, leadership behaviors, and cultural signals that determine whether the change you helped create survives. They're separate credentials and either can come first, but together they cover both halves of the work. See Coaching for Change →
No. There are no prerequisites. The course starts with change management foundations, so you don't need prior theory — and it's designed for people from any role or background who want organizational change to last.
No exam. Attend the full live session and participate, and we register you for the Scrum Alliance Coaching for Transformation microcredential. Your digital badge follows shortly after.

Yes, and for this course it's often the stronger choice — a private session lets your leaders and coaches examine their own structures and behaviors together, in real time. Email hello@rocketninesolutions.com and we'll put together a plan.
The coaching pathway
These five Scrum Alliance microcredentials aren't prerequisites for each other, but they're designed to build in this order.
The foundations — what agile coaching is, and the presence it takes to hold space for a team.
Learn the six stances of a coach — facilitating, teaching, mentoring, advising, leading, coaching — and when to use each one.
Take those same six stances from concept to practice with a scenario-based, hands-on session.
The skills to coach a whole organization as a single client.
Making sure the change you helped create actually survives.
Still deciding?
Not sure whether this or Coaching for Change is the better place to start? Describe the transformation you're working on and we'll give you a straight answer — even if the answer is a different class.
