Certified Agile Scaling Practitioner
Bolting a scaling framework onto a growing organization rarely works the same way twice. This course builds the underlying skill instead — reading your organization's actual structure, recognizing the patterns underneath LeSS, SAFe, Spotify, and DAD, and knowing when to scaffold rather than adopt wholesale — so the approach fits the organization you actually have.

Private training
We aren't running public CASP cohorts right now. Every session is private, built around your teams, your product, and the scaling patterns underneath your actual structure — not a generic framework rollout.
Either way works. Email a bit of context — cohort size, virtual or on-site, and where your scaling effort stands today — and we'll follow up with a plan, or skip straight to 30 minutes with Scott to talk through your teams and structure.
The credential
Certified Agile Scaling Practitioner is an official Scrum Alliance microcredential. Attend the full 16 hours, participate, and it's yours — no exam, no follow-up assignment.

Scrum Alliance
A digital badge you can add to LinkedIn the day you finish, backed by a globally recognized credentialing body. Microcredentials are stackable — the SEUs apply toward renewing your existing certifications, and the badge builds toward a broader Scrum Alliance credential path at your own pace.
What you'll learn
Four areas, drawn directly from Scrum Alliance's CASP curriculum, that decide whether a scaling effort compounds or collapses.
Module 01
What "scaling" actually means for agile product delivery — and why most teams are already scaling before anyone calls it that.
Module 02
The recurring reasons scaling initiatives stall or reverse, and the patterns underneath frameworks like LeSS, SAFe, Spotify, and DAD that most adoptions miss.
Module 03
Connect your scaling approach to what the enterprise is actually trying to achieve, rather than adopting a framework for its own sake.
Module 04
Build the scaffolding — not a rigid framework — that lets multiple teams across multiple sites deliver toward one product, sustainably.
Who it's for
If you're deciding whether to scale, leading the effort, or cleaning up after one that stalled, this is for you.
Evaluating scaling approaches and looking for a model that accounts for where your organization actually is, not a textbook starting point.
Driving transformation success and needing a clear-eyed view of what scaling agility will actually require of the organization.
Helping teams scale their agile delivery, and guiding people through principles and practices that shift as the org grows.
Assessing methods for scaling agile delivery across multiple teams and products, and adopting a flexible approach that fits your company.
Ready to be part of an adaptable, sustainable approach to expanding agile across multiple scrum teams.
Breaking free of rigid framework adoption and leveraging the underlying patterns that actually help clients realize the benefit of agile teams at scale.
Straight answer on prerequisites: there are none. Basic familiarity with agile helps you place the examples, but the course is built to work for people entering scaling conversations from any role.

Founder, Rocket Nine Solutions · Certified Scrum Trainer & Certified Enterprise Coach
Scott is one of roughly 30 people worldwide holding both the Certified Scrum Trainer and Certified Enterprise Coach credentials — the practitioner and the systems-level coaching sides of scaling, in one person. Over two decades he's helped organizations from NASA to Kaiser Permanente to Fortune 500 companies work through scaling efforts, and he teaches this course from what actually held up across hundreds of organizations, not from a single framework's playbook. Bring your organization's real structure; he'll help you find the pattern that fits it.
Questions
Scaling agility is inherently about your organization's own structure — its reporting lines, its footprint, its history with previous scaling attempts. A public cohort of strangers can't work through that in a way that's actually useful. Delivering this privately means the case work, examples, and discussion all run against your organization instead of a generic scenario.
Scaling agile means extending agile capabilities and behaviors across multiple teams while finding the practices that actually increase delivered value — it's an outcome, not a specific framework. CASP isn't a framework itself; it teaches the principles and patterns underneath frameworks like LeSS, SAFe, Spotify, and DAD, so you can apply whichever fits, or use pieces of several, rather than adopting one wholesale.
No formal prerequisites. Basic familiarity with agile is recommended so attendees can place the examples, but the course is built to work for people coming into scaling conversations from any role.
Format is flexible since every cohort is private — most run it as two 8-hour days, but we can adapt to a different cadence (for example, four half-days) to fit your team's schedule and time zones.
No exam. Attend the full 16 hours and participate, and we register your team for the Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Scaling Practitioner microcredential. Digital badges follow shortly after.
Yes — Scrum Alliance members earn 16 SEUs for this course, applicable toward renewing existing certifications. Each seat also includes a two-year Scrum Alliance membership.
