Agile OKRs · Objectives & Key Results
Most OKR rollouts fail for one of two reasons: the goals are vague enough to mean anything, or they're rigid enough to kill the agility that made the team fast in the first place. This session teaches your team to write OKRs that are ambitious, measurable, and built to bend without breaking — and to run them alongside Scrum or Kanban instead of on top of it.

Private training
We aren't running public Agile OKRs sessions right now. Every session is private, built around your organization's actual strategy and how far your OKRs need to cascade.
Either way works. Email a bit of context — team size, how you set goals today, and what's not working — and we'll follow up with a plan, or skip straight to 30 minutes with Scott to talk it through.
The credential
Agile OKRs is an official Scrum Alliance microcredential. Attend the live session, participate, and it's yours — no exam, no follow-up assignment.

Scrum Alliance
A digital badge you can add to LinkedIn the day you finish, backed by a globally recognized credentialing body. Agile OKRs is a Community Badge Program course — sourced directly from a Certified Scrum Trainer — and carries the same weight as any other Scrum Alliance microcredential. It's also stackable with your other Scrum Alliance credentials.
What you'll learn
Six areas that take a team from "we should set some goals" to a working OKR cycle that survives contact with a real sprint.
Module 01
The difference between an objective and a key result, and why most goal-setting fails before it starts — it's ambitious on one side or measurable on the other, rarely both.
Module 02
How OKRs move from company strategy down to team-level work without turning into a game of telephone by the time they reach the backlog.
Module 03
Write objectives that are genuinely motivating and key results that are genuinely measurable, using templates you'll walk out with.
Module 04
Where OKRs plug into sprint planning, the backlog, and your board — without adding a second, competing planning process on top of agile.
Module 05
How to track OKRs honestly, spot the ones that are quietly failing, and adjust mid-cycle without treating the plan as sacred.
Module 06
The ways OKRs typically go wrong in practice — sandbagged targets, task lists dressed up as key results, goals nobody revisits — and how to catch them early.
Templates & tools
The session closes by working through OKR templates and an audit board against your own team's goals — not a hypothetical example. Bring a real objective you're wrestling with and we'll build it out together.
Who it's for
If your organization sets goals — formally or informally — and wants a framework that survives past the kickoff meeting, this is for you.
Translating strategy into a backlog that actually reflects what the business is trying to achieve this quarter.
Setting goals for a group and needing a shared language for what "on track" actually means.
Helping teams connect their day-to-day sprint work back to something bigger than the next ticket.
Wanting a goal-setting framework the whole organization can actually see progress against, not just report on at quarter's end.
Rolling out a goal-setting framework organization-wide and wanting it to hold up outside the launch deck.
Tired of goals that live in a slide deck and never show up in sprint planning.
Straight answer on prerequisites: there are none. You don't need prior OKR experience or a technical background — just a real goal or team you're trying to align. Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps you place the examples, but it isn't required.

Founder, Rocket Nine Solutions · Certified Scrum Trainer
Scott has spent two decades helping organizations turn strategy into work people can actually act on — first as a Scrum Master and coach, now as a trainer to thousands across Fortune 500 and Inc 500 companies. Agile OKRs is the course he built after watching too many goal-setting rollouts collapse into either vague inspiration or rigid task lists. Bring a real goal from your organization; he'll help you turn it into an OKR that holds up past the kickoff.
Questions
It's a Scrum Alliance microcredential, delivered through their Community Badge Program — meaning the course topic was sourced directly from a Certified Scrum Trainer. The credential and badge carry the same weight and value as any other Scrum Alliance microcredential.
No. There are no prerequisites. The session works whether you've never written an OKR or you're currently running them and something feels off. Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban helps you place the examples, but it isn't required.
