The credential
A-CSD is the middle certification in the Scrum Alliance developer track, sitting between CSD and CSP-Developer. You'll need to already hold a CSD, active or expired, plus at least 12 months of experience as a scrum developer or team member within the last five years, to be eligible.

Yes. Scrum Alliance requires an active or expired Certified Scrum Developer certification, plus at least 12 months of experience as a scrum developer or team member within the last five years, before you're eligible to earn the A-CSD.
A-CSD deepens what CSD taught you — advanced refactoring, deeper TDD and continuous delivery practice, and applying it against a real codebase instead of a clean-slate exercise. It's designed for developers who've already earned a CSD and want to take the next step.
No written exam. As with CSD, Paul's course design uses a classroom-based evaluation — attend all four half-days, participate, and complete the hands-on work, and you'll receive your A-CSD credential.
CSP-Developer, the third and final level of the Scrum Alliance developer track. It requires holding an A-CSD (active or expired) plus at least 24 months of experience as a scrum developer or team member within the last five years. See "The developer track" below.
